How CVCircuit Works on LinkedIn Jobs

LinkedIn Jobs is used by more job seekers and employers than any other professional job board. Millions of roles are posted across every industry and seniority level. For professional, corporate, and senior roles especially, LinkedIn is often the primary search destination.

How job detection works on LinkedIn
LinkedIn uses React-based dynamic page rendering. When you navigate between job listings in the left sidebar, the URL changes and the content area updates — but without full page reloads. CVCircuit detects these navigations via:
- URL change monitoring (LinkedIn updates the URL with the job ID)
- History API patching to catch programmatic navigation
Once a navigation is detected, CVCircuit extracts data using LinkedIn-specific selectors:
- Job title from the h1 in the top card
- Company name and location from their dedicated containers
- The full job description from LinkedIn's expandable content area (both the standard view and the "see more" expanded version)
LinkedIn's "Easy Apply" vs external application
Many LinkedIn roles offer "Easy Apply" — applying directly through LinkedIn without leaving the platform. For these roles, CVCircuit can still tailor your CV and produce a tailored PDF for download (since Easy Apply doesn't use a standard file upload field that injection can target).
For roles that redirect to an employer's own portal, CVCircuit's injection feature works normally on the destination portal.
