These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the CVCircuit website, applications, browser extension, and related services (collectively, the "Service"). By creating an account, accessing, or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.
"CVCircuit", "we", "us", or "our" refers to the provider of the Service. We provide tools that help you create, edit, tailor, and export CVs/resumes, store career and application data, and automatically fill in and assist with job applications on third-party websites, including automated assistance.
You must be able to form a legally binding contract in your jurisdiction to use the Service. You are responsible for providing accurate account information and maintaining the confidentiality of your sign-in credentials.
You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
The Service may include CV/resume creation, automated content generation or rewriting, tailoring for job descriptions, template/style selection, export to formats such as PDF or DOCX, a Career Vault for storing reusable application data, and a browser extension (the "Job Search Copilot") that reads job application forms and can fill them in automatically on your behalf. Features may change over time.
We do not guarantee that the Service will improve employment outcomes, interviews, offers, or salary.
You agree not to:
The Service allows you to submit information such as your name, email, work history, education, skills, job descriptions, and other data that may appear in a CV ("User Content"). Where you choose to provide it, User Content also includes the Sensitive Application Data described in Section 8 (for example, your National Insurance number, date of birth, disability status, right-to-work status, sponsorship requirements, and background-check or criminal record declarations).
You retain ownership of your User Content. You represent and warrant that you have the rights to submit your User Content, that it belongs to you or you are authorized to provide it, and that it is accurate to the best of your knowledge.
You grant us a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, store, process, transmit, reproduce, and display your User Content solely to operate, maintain, and improve the Service, including generating CV outputs and autofilling job applications you request.
This license ends when you delete your User Content or your account, except to the extent we must retain certain information for legal, security, fraud prevention, or legitimate business purposes.
The Service allows you to optionally store sensitive information in your profile — including your National Insurance number, date of birth, disability status, right-to-work status, sponsorship requirements, background-check consent, and criminal record declarations — so that it can be reused across job applications via autofill instead of retyped every time.

This section governs your use of our browser extension to read and fill in job application forms on third-party websites. Please read it carefully — it explains exactly what the tool does, what it deliberately does not do, and what remains your responsibility.
Autofill and AI-assisted answers are provided to save you time. They may be incomplete, inaccurate, or fail to fill every field correctly, particularly on unfamiliar or non-standard forms. You are solely responsible for reviewing every field on every application — autofilled or not — before you submit it.
No feature of the Service will ever click a final Submit or Apply button for you. Reviewing the completed application in full and choosing to submit it is always your own, separate, deliberate action, taken after autofill has run. CVCircuit is not a party to, and makes no representation regarding, your agreement with any third-party job board or employer; your own review and decision to submit the application is what constitutes your agreement to that third party's terms.
Job boards and employer application systems are operated by third parties we do not control. We are not responsible for how those sites handle information you submit through them, whether they accept automated form-filling, or for any consequence of your application — including rejection, delay, or any action taken by the job board or employer as a result of using automated tools, where that site's own terms restrict them.
The Career Bank has an optional Declarations section for questions that many application forms ask about your links to the employer: for example, whether you know anyone who works there, whether you have a conflict of interest, whether you have close links to a government or public official, whether you are bound by a non-compete, whether you are happy to be kept on file for other roles, and whether interviews may be recorded. Declarations are off by default, and while they are off, autofill leaves these questions for you to answer.
If you turn Declarations on, you authorise the Job Search Copilot to answer these questions on your behalf, using the answers saved in your Declarations, until you turn them off. When you first turn them on, some answers are pre-set to the answer most applicants give; you can see and change every one of them before relying on it. Where a question asks for your consent or preference (such as interview recording), autofill only gives the answer you have chosen and never chooses one for you.
Your answers to these questions are statements you make to the employer. You are responsible for keeping your Declarations accurate and up to date, and for checking them on each application before you submit it, as set out in sections 9.1 and 9.2. You can change any answer, or turn Declarations off, at any time in your Career Bank.
Some features generate suggestions, rewrites, summaries, tailored CV content, or autofilled application answers ("Generated Output"). Generated Output may be inaccurate, incomplete, or inappropriate. You are responsible for reviewing and verifying Generated Output before using it or submitting it as part of a job application.
You acknowledge that Generated Output is provided "as is" and is not professional, legal, or employment advice.
By using the Service, you acknowledge that we may compile aggregate or anonymised statistics about outcomes across our user base (for example, the range of companies our users have reported being hired by) and use resulting claims — such as "we've helped people get hired at companies including Amazon and Apple" — in our marketing. These statistics do not identify you individually.
We will only use your name, story, or other identifying details as an individual testimonial or case study with your separate, explicit, opt-in consent, which is never required to use the Service and which you may withdraw at any time. Full detail is in our Privacy Policy.
Outside of the specific, user-directed circumstances described in Section 9 (where you personally initiate autofill and submission of a specific job application), we do not disclose your personal information, CV Data, Career Vault Data, or Sensitive Application Data to third parties for their own use or marketing, and we do not sell it. This protection exists because information this sensitive, in the hands of the wrong party, can do real damage to your career and financial security — protecting it is a condition we hold ourselves to, not just a disclosure we make.
We may offer free and paid subscription plans. Prices and included features are described on our pricing pages and may change.
If you purchase a paid plan, you authorize us (and our payment processors) to charge your payment method according to your selected plan and billing period.
Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable. If a refund is required or approved, it may be pro-rated or subject to fees.
You may cancel or downgrade according to options provided in the Service. Cancellation or downgrade may take effect at the end of the current billing period.
Upon cancellation, you may lose access to paid features. We may also limit or suspend access for violations of these Terms, suspected fraud, or security concerns.
The Service may integrate with third-party services (for example, authentication, hosting, analytics, payment processing, job boards, and content-generation infrastructure). Your use of third-party services may be subject to those providers' own terms, which you are responsible for reviewing.
The Service, including its software, design, templates, branding, and all related intellectual property, are owned by CVCircuit or its licensors. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the Service except as permitted by these Terms.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, that autofill or AI-generated content will be accurate or complete, or that any application submitted using the Service will result in any particular outcome.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CVCIRCUIT WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, GOODWILL, EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, INCLUDING ANY AUTOFILLED OR AI-GENERATED APPLICATION CONTENT, OR ANY DECISION MADE BY A THIRD-PARTY EMPLOYER OR JOB BOARD.
IN ALL CASES, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US FOR THE SERVICE IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM, OR $100 IF YOU HAVE NOT PAID US.
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless CVCircuit and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, damages, liabilities, losses, and expenses arising from your use of the Service, your User Content (including any Sensitive Application Data you choose to provide), your use of autofill, your submission of any job application, or your violation of these Terms.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms, or if required for security, legal, or operational reasons.
You may stop using the Service at any time. Termination does not relieve you of obligations incurred prior to termination.
We may update these Terms from time to time, including to reflect changes to autofill or other features. If we make material changes, we may provide notice through the Service or by other means. Your continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in the jurisdiction where CVCircuit operates, without regard to conflict of laws principles.

Given that Section 9 governs an automated tool that fills in forms on third-party sites using sensitive personal data, you should have these Terms — and the underlying product behavior they describe — reviewed by qualified legal counsel to confirm they are accurate, enforceable, and appropriate for your business, jurisdiction, and compliance needs before relying on them.
